A World Gone Awry
I am too old for further adventures in technology
Isolation is always preferable
to a long bath in idiocy.
How else can I say it?
The dumbing down of the world
is not for me — I am too old
to be part of the soundbite generation.
I prefer to swim in waves
than dip a toe in shallow water
or turn into some vacuous
AI robot. I remember a flesh
& blood world, red clay earth
the passions of the body
live music caught by evening sun.
I won’t be around too much longer
will meditate night & day
so as not to return.
