Be Careful Watching the Night Sky

I saw Santa Claus but somehow they missed him

I cannot find a meteor
shower when
I want one.
Skies are dark
with the
depth of oceans

I can withstand
most things but
starless Heavens?
No thanks.
It’s way too
much for this
depressive

who once rushed
to a window
to see
Santa Claus swoop
over the
newsagent’s &
was amazed

no-one else saw
his reindeer.
I suspect
disillusionment
started on a crisp
Xmas morning.
