Be Happy — Put an End to Opinion

Some tautology is required to heft
low to high brow —
but don’t imagine you are different.
Our essence is the same
like a sauce reduced to finer elements —
& that taste!

New curtains are pressed & ready
on the sideboard & my favourite
meal made, as I write…..
Some might say, be ashamed
& yet in the end I pass the ball.
We find a healthy balance.

We tip back & forth in a life
unrelenting like the contents of
consciousness, or two children
playing pass the parcel.
You lead this waltz
I‘ll take the next dance

& so our slow moves go on.

But stop the rush to judgment
stand back & observe —
all the way to the gauze of
outer planets.
All is well — this mad world just
a fount of trigger-happy opinion.
