I certainly feel you are right to point to the semantics. I am with James Hillman who writes in The Soul's Code to hold concepts loosely. Good to have some elbow room, I am also a closet Indian and have a long-standing history there; my mother and all her family for generations were born there. I have a natural affinity for their spirituality I guess. I take their definition of reality - eternal,permanent, self-shining.
