This Cinema Show Draws to its End
Are you ready? Are you sick of the game of life as I am?
Show me a drama & I’ll
show you a villain
rubbing his hands with
a gleeful smile.
Know the game &
span the archetypes —
warrior, lover, priest
& on & on.
We are all fine actors
here to shape illusion
until we get
a look behind
the curtain & no longer
want what was
so appealing.
Aren’t you sick of
this game of separation
all the pains of Maya?
Each life means another
stake through the heart
years of bleeding.
I shall pass on fame
& fortune, surrender
my role to someone else’s
burning trajectory.
I am on the return leg
which I thoroughly recommend.
I’ll see you in the stalls.
